Speaking engagements & presentations on biochar

  • History – The engaging aspect of biochar in history is not just that it has survived the test of time physically. Biochar also represents resource conversion at its best – there is something to consider in how the cultures who used biochar perceived and used the resources around them. The idea of managing resources wisely to make the sum more whole than the parts is an important one. Pollution can be thought of as resources out of place. The management of these resources – the energy flows of nature form our impact on the world around us.
  • Use – Biochar is more than a practical tool for providing the foundational needs of your farm or garden. It is a tool for addressing the weak links of resource management in industry, forestry and industrial agriculture.
  • Science – Agricultural science has trended towards marketing, technology and chemistry. It needs to be biological, engaging holistically with the life that ultimately supports us all. Ultimately science is only as sound as the results. Dr. Christine Jones, the Savory Institute and the Carbon Coalition are just some of the voices in this regenerative agriculture movement – voices for sound biological science.
We speak from our experience, pulling it all together – Engagement with biochar is engaging with life. The science, history and the use all come together in practice – creating the conditions for life to thrive.

Invite us to engage your school, group or club with the story of biochar. What Biochar is, what it represents and how it can help us address the problems we are facing in our changing world.
